Care guide

fabric care guide

A little care keeps natural fabrics beautiful for years. Here's how we look after ours.

The basics

Four golden rules

  1. Wash gently

Cold water and a mild detergent. Wash darks and brights separately for the first few washes.

  2. Dry in the shade

Direct sunlight fades natural dyes. Dry inside out, away from harsh sun.

  3. Iron on the reverse

Use low to medium heat and press on the reverse side, especially on prints and zari.

  4. Store with care

Wrap silks in muslin, refold occasionally and keep away from damp and naphthalene.
